Kassel is an old and delightful town to take a trip to. I discovered a host of places to visit in this city. Starting from an incredibly beautiful park to stunning castle, you can have it all. As a matter of fact, it boasts about the various historical attractions. Take a look at the top places to visit to make your stay more interesting at Kassel.

Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe

This has been declared as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The park covers an area of 240 hectares. What I found to be the most beautiful aspect of the park is that the Karlsberg Mountain towers this park. You will also find the Hercules monument. Do not miss out on the Schloss Wilhelmshöhe castle. Here, I came across some antiques, famous paintings, and some artifacts. The park nurtures more than 1,500 flower species.

Karlsaue Park

Karlsaue is a historical park which covers an area of more than 400 acres. The kale, the fountain, the towering trees, and the marble baths, you are going to find it all here. Visit during spring to breathe in the beauty of the colorful Siebenbergen, the flower island. Nonetheless, the most famous attraction of this park is palatial Orangerie. It is a planetarium which houses much scientific equipment.

Brüder Grimm-Museum

If you are history buff, you should definitely visit Brüder Grimm-Museum. The legendary duo, Brüder Grimm- was the creator of a magical fairy tale. This museum has been dedicated to them. It showcases their work. I was thrilled to find out that the museum has the first edition of all popular fairy tales written by them. Furniture, paintings, and artifacts are also to be found here. This is a great place to learn about the duo and also their works.
